Fermented condiments offer a new world of nutrition and flavor to year-round cooking. We will make my famous fermented Worcestershire Sauce, hot sauce, ketchup, garlic, lemons and possibly more. We will also make a Vinegar Extract, one option of which will be Fire Cider- the legendary folk remedy made from vinegar, garlic, turmeric, cayenne, horseradish and spices. It is a tasty, zesty vinaigrette and helpful reliever of cold and flu symptoms. Please note that there is a Vegan option for the Worcestershire Sauce which traditionally includes anchovies. Students will bring some basic kitchen supplies, jars, and basic ingredients. A list will be sent before class.
All classes are designed around Covid social distancing practices including masks when necessary. Each student will have their own station in a very spacious studio with excellent HVAC.
If you have questions about ingredients or allergies, please contact me. It is often possible to customize product ingredients. All classes include handouts and recipes so you can continue making products after the class at home.
Cancellations less than 24 hours before class will be refunded at 50% of the price. You are welcome to send another person in your place or use the full value of the ticket for another class in the future.
