Explore ancient and contemporary methods of using natural plant-based raw materials to make an eclectic variety of useful herbal products. We will make a very light facial lotion, a heavier all purpose skin cream, an all purpose herbal skin and hair tonic know as Queen of Hungary’s Water, and two customized aromatherapy sprays. You will leave class with 5 finished products. Our ingredients will include plant oils, beeswax, essential oils, vinegar, aloe vera, and herbs such as calendula, rose, rosemary, and lemon balm. These are certified organic when possible. If you have questions about ingredients or allergies, please contact me. It is often possible to adjust ingredients. Class includes a demonstration of how to use natural Zinc Oxide with the facial lotion and cream to create sunblock.

Classes are designed with many accommodations for safety due to Covid: Class size is limited. Social distance is ensured in a very large and spacious studio with 18′ ceilings and excellent ventilation. Individual work stations are at least 6′ apart. Students bring most of their own supplies and use of shared tools is limited. Use of face masks is mandatory.
